Each homeowner deposit and insurance check is recorded against the job it belongs to. If the insurance money comes in more than one check, or a supplement is paid later, each payment lands on that same job. The deductible the homeowner pays is recorded there too. That way you can see in QuickBooks Online, roof by roof, what's been paid and what's still owed. We don't handle the claim itself. We keep the books straight on what came in and what's still open.
